Previewing spring style with $1 jeans

March 1, 2017

Things are already heating up here in Illinois and it's only the beginning of March!  We had 65 degree weather in February, and I'm NOT kidding!

I love spring just as much as I love fall, except maybe a little more. (Shhh, don't tell fall.) Spring always reminds me of flowers, cool breezes and all of the exciting things in life, like open windows, flea markets and my birthday. But not necessarily in that order.

I get so anxious for the change of seasons because stores put their new fashions out early and I can't resist stocking up. And because I can't resist stocking up, I DEFINITELY can't resist wearing the new pieces.

A recent visit to the thrift shop paid off when I found a seriously cute pair of Gap distressed boyfriend jeans for $1.08! They were still brand new with the $69.95 Gap price tag attached- holy smokes! The store was having a huge sale and I was lucky enough to snag this stylish denim off their rack.

To play up the latest styles, I paired my dolla holla jeans with my most recent spring finds that you can currently purchase in stores. Check it out!

About this look: | Jeans: Gap | Tee: Old Navy | Jacket: Old Navy | Shoes: Steve Madden | Scarf: Old Navy | Bag: Fossil | Sunglasses: LOFT

I styled this outfit around my jeans and scarf. I fell head over heels in love with this patterned scarf from Old Navy. It has fun New York graphics all over it! I also purchased it in the California print. (No, YOU have a problem.)

Then I worked backwards and picked out a matching red tee and a white denim jacket, which are also both from Old Navy. Next I slid on these nude quilted Steve Madden espadrilles I found at the thrift store last year for $2. (But you can find a similar pair from DSW here.)

To polish off my accessory selections, I chose this brown leather Fossil crossbody I just picked up at the outlet mall and the perfect retro red sunglasses from LOFT. I am calling it now- these shades will be HUGE within the next couple seasons.

Can't wait for spring? I don't blame you. You can shop this look below:

Waiting on you, April,
