What's inside my makeup bag?

2/22/2017

It's glam time, lovelies!

I was recently thinking about how all of my beauty related posts are usually talking about new products I've recently purchased and given a try. But I've never really shared with you the products I use on the daily and can't live without! So for today's post, I'm emptying my makeup bag and filling you in on the products that make my world go round.

Face

Let's start with my foundation. I am #BLESSED with smooth skin that is not prone to breakouts, only an occasional pimple here and there. You probably want to hate me for that, but my eye bags and dry winter skin make up for that one, trust me. Can we still be friends?

Because of the texture of my skin, I don't have to use heavy liquid foundations. I use Neutrogena's Mineral Sheers powder foundation in the shade Natural Ivory. It gives me full coverage without making my skin look tired and it feels like I'm not even wearing makeup! This is my favorite product that I use day in and day out.

I know powder foundations aren't for everyone, but I do recommend trying out any type of Neutrogena foundations because they give you makeup coverage while fighting away acne and clearing your skin. You can't beat it.

Next is my go-to blush. Covergirl's TruBlend blush in the Medium Rose shade gives my cheeks a natural pop of pink. It's easy to apply and blends really well on my cheekbones.

You may remember me talking about the TruBlend bronzer, which is also a favorite of mine, but you can find the blush in light and dark shades as well, depending on what works best with your skin tone.

Eyes

I have a zillion eyeshadow palettes, no exaggeration, but eyeshadow is my FAV beauty product to play with. That being said, the one palette I tend to use most and simply adore is The Nudes palette from Maybelline. I'm all about the natural look, so the shades in this palette are simple enough for my every day routine. My favorite shades are the lighter matte browns.

I've mentioned before that I'm not the best of friends with eyeliner, but I have found one that is easy to use without being too heavy- it's Maybelline's Master Precise Skinny gel pencil in the shade Defining Black. This liner is thin enough for me to apply without messing up and it glides on smooth without getting clumpy- a GODSEND for people like me.

I have not stopped using my mascara since the day I bought it. Covergirl's Plumpify blastPro mascara is the BOMB. The formula is thick, but does not clump your lashes together. It just leaves them looking long and glamorous.

Lips

I have many different lipsticks and I'm always switching those around, but the one lip product I'm always using is my Nivea Milk and Honey lip balm. I stash these in my purse, in my desk at work and at home because I am constantly applying it. My lips can get pretty dry, but this balm instantly revives them for a smooth, glowy finish.

*****
I've mentioned this before, and as you can see, I'm not a heavy makeup user. The products I use most are the one's that give me a natural look that works with my schedule. These are all products I've been using if not every day, every week for quite a while; the products you'll always find in my makeup bag!
