What's in my shopping bag? | May

June 2, 2017

*"What's in my shopping bag?" is a series on The Fashionable Fox blog where I share recent purchases from each month and chat about why I like them and where to buy them.*

Hello June! Happy to have you here!

...Although, we snapped our fingers and May was OVER. Not cool, May.

But here to welcome summer with open arms is ME and my May shopping bag picks! I picked five of them for you this time, so take a peek!

VERA BRADLEY TURNLOCK WALLET IN COBALT TILE

Aren't birthday coupons the best? Every year I look forward to the one I get from Vera Bradley because it always gives me the perfect excuse to visit the outlet and find a little somethin' somethin'. I got 25% off my purchase this year, so I picked out a bright little summer crossbody purse and this wallet! This pattern is one of my new faves- even though it's already a year old, you can find it online in multiple sale styles and at the outlet. The wallet was only $18 with my coupon and completely worth it because I already adore it.

SOAP & GLORY SMOOTHIE STAR BREAKFAST SCRUB

I got turned on to Soap & Glory thanks to last month's Bless Box. (I'm seriously still not over how good that lotion smells.) I didn't realize you could buy their products at Target until my mom mentioned seeing them! We stopped at Target on my birthday and I saw the breakfast scrub, smelled the breakfast scrub, and BOUGHT THE BREAKFAST SCRUB.

Not only does it smell like maple HEAVEN, it also leaves my hands feeling soft and refreshed. Scrubs are my favorite because they feel grimy and gritty when you use them, but the outcome is unbelievable softness. It's an oat, sugar and shea scrub so there's plenty of the good stuff for your skin! It also has organic cupuacu bio scrubs, banana, almond and honey extracts. If you're nervous about the maple scent, I can assure you that it's not TOO strong, and you can also smell the banana and honey scents along with it.

REBECCA MINKOFF MINI SOFIA CROSSBODY BAG IN BROWN

Forgive me Lord, for I have CAVED and finally purchased the bag I've been eyeing for over a year. Special thanks to Lauren Nolan from Lakeshore Lady for filling me in on the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale that I didn't even know about! This was originally a $245 bag- ouch! Although I was in love, I waited it out and I'm glad I did because I got this beauty for more than half off the original price. It pays to wait! I'll be carrying my RM around with me on all of my upcoming adventures.

BIRKENSTOCK RIO SANDALS IN BROWN

I never thought the day would come where I owned a real pair of Birkenstocks, but I never predicted finding a pair for $4 at a garage sale! My neighbor was having a GS last weekend and had multiple pairs of Birks for only $4. The pair I picked out here had never been worn and fit me the best- couldn't pass up that deal! I've been wearing Birk-like styles a lot lately, so I know these babies will find their way to my feet quite quickly.

AEROPOSTALE CROCHET HIGH LOW BLUE SKIRT

The looks I've been creating lately incorporate maxi skirts and dresses with other unique boho pieces. I spotted this skirt at Goodwill during my last visit and knew I could style it many different ways with the existing pieces in my closet. The skirt still had the price tags on from Aeropostale, but I only paid $4.99 at Goodwill! The crochet detail shows a little skin, and the skirt overall is comfortable and breezy. I can't wait to build an #ootd around this one!

*****

I spoiled myself during the month of May, but it is my birth month after all! All these new additions are versatile and perfect for my summer wardrobe.

Tell me about one of your recent purchases in the comments below!

So fetch,
