It's now August, fashionistas, and the summer is flying by!
Whenever I think of August, I think of HOT weather and BRIGHT colors! August is like the fiesta of the summer season!
For today's post, I styled a look that is as bright and breezy as the final month of summer. The silhouette of this outfit screams vintage to me, but I created it with current pieces that are available now. Here it is:
I love adding hints of vintage to any look, and this one has a mix of vintage-style patterns and fabrics with modern pieces. This skirt is from LOFT and it's their sundeck maxi skirt. The material is a flowy satin with a slip underneath so it's not see-through. I love that the long, vertical stripes add some height to my short frame and the colors are bold with a soft, vintage tint. I'm wearing a size small here, so I recommend sizing down one from your usual skirt size since it's a looser fit.
On top, I paired this skirt with a cropped white blouse. It is the Wonderland Button-up Eyelet top from Tobi. This shirt is a bright, crisp white with a collar, eyelet details and a subtle floral design. A cropped shirt with a boxy shape pairs perfectly with a long skirt, so I know I will be wearing this top with multiple looks; although I absolutely adore how it looks with this specific skirt.
For shoes, I added on my rose gold LC Lauren Conrad slide sandals which really made the pink shades in the skirt POP. Throwing on a pair of slides with a soft outfit is really simple, but I think a neutral pair of espadrilles would compliment this look as well.
Finally, let's add some accessories! I'm obsessed with these white thread wrapped drop earrings from LOFT. They are a bold statement that really plays up the outfit. Instead of simple jewelry, I opted for only earrings that really stand out! I chose a vintage straw bag to complete this look; it's simple and tops of the sunny style I wanted to achieve.

Anyone else getting major *salsa dancer emoji* vibes from this look? I know I am. I could twirl around in this skirt all day!
This outfit proves that you don't have to go full-on vintage to add a little retro spice to your wardrobe.
And if you're feeling insecure, Regina George said it herself: "Vintage! So adorable."
