Bath & Beauty Report | March Picks

March 7, 2019

Happy March, y'all!

Spring is getting closer- I can feel it! With the anticipation of its arrival, you may be feeling the urge to get rid of stuff you no longer wear or use and make room for some fresh, new products. The spring cleaning bug has already bit me and I've started with purging some handbags first.

I've also been sorting through my beauty products to throw out what I'm no longer using. I picked up a few new things as well and am sharing them with you in today's Bath & Beauty Report!

Here are the new products I've recently added into my beauty routine:

You already know how much I love a Maybelline eyeshadow palette. I was psyched when I heard about the new Matte Bar palette because I'm not much of a shimmer shadow girl, unless it's for a night out. This set is all mattes, with different shades of brown and mauve. I've experimented more with the mauve shades because they make for a nice, simple pop of color on my eyelids. I love the pigmentation of the colors, but the formula can be difficult to blend at times. Much like the Lemonade Craze palette and the City Mini palette I wrote about before, the shadows are much more powdery than they used to be. But still, I love that this is an all matte palette and I've been using it frequently.

We all love a good face mask, but could definitely do WITHOUT the mess! Yes To created the Duel-Ended Mask Tool to make the face mask experience much more pleasant. You may have caught me testing it out on my Instagram story last month. Use the straight edge to apply a clay mask by scooping up the product and spreading it on your face. The tool helps to glide the mask on smoothly and makes it easier to get full coverage. Plus, you're not getting your hands all messy. The rounded edge of the tool is helpful to lift peel-off masks and get rid of any leftover gunk. This tool was awesome; not only is it inexpensive, but it worked perfectly and is very easy to clean. If you are a clay mask person, this is a necessity.

I received the Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Crayon in a subscription box a while ago, but I'm not much of a brow person so I just tossed it in a drawer. I tried it one day when I was going out and was blown away. My impression of brow products were that they made your brows look drawn on and unnatural and I HATE that. But this product has changed my perspective; I couldn't believe how great my eyebrows looked after filling them in with this. The formula is very similar to that of a crayon eye liner, so it glides on smooth. On the opposite end is an eyebrow brush that blends in the color. I use it every single day now; it's one of my must-haves. The only downfall is it doesn't last long- I have to get a new one almost once a month. But I absolutely love it.
