Winter Stylebook | Galentine's Day

February 7, 2019

WHO RUN THE WORLD?!  GIRLS!

It's almost time to celebrate with your lady gang- Galentine's Day is next Wednesday! If you're thinking, "what the heck is Galentine's Day?", I actually wrote an entire post about it last year and it is still one of my favorites to date. Read it here.

Have you seen a lot of Galentine's party ideas on Pinterest lately? I have and I'm OBSESSED. I can't wait until I have my own place and can host a party of my own!

In a perfect world, we would all be hosting G-Day parties for our girls. But with busy schedules, it can be hard to nail everyone down. Instead of a party, planning something simple with your besties is more achievable! Take a yoga class together, meet for brunch or catch the latest chick flick at the movies. Whatever you do, make it fun and let it remind you how grateful you are for your girl squad.

For today's post, I put together an outfit that is perfect for any Galentine's activities! It's spin class, waffle-eating and lounge-mode approved! The colors complement the holiday, but trust me, you will want to be wearing this comfy AND stylish look long after February.

I styled an athleisure look for Galentine's Day because your squad doesn't judge. Leggings make the perfect pair to donuts and a marathon of "Friends." The comfier, the better!

I recently found this quilted athletic hoodie at T.J. Maxx. It's Jones New York and was only $24.99! The blush pink color is obviously perfect for G-Day, but also for all year round if you are a pink lover like me. The soft, loose fit is cozy and I love the drawstring cowl neck. It also has a hood in the back and large pockets! My eyes immediately went to this piece on the rack and I'm glad they did because it's SO flattering.

I paired it with my FAVORITE jersey elastic-waist leggings from Old Navy. They're stretchy and thick for the colder season. Color blocking maroon with blush pink is very on-trend at the moment, and you will be seeing a lot of it for the month of February! The colors really pop against each other.

For shoes, I threw on my rose gold Clarks sneakers. Rose gold gym shoes are such a fun statement piece to add to any athleisure look. To accessorize and match my shoes, I added rose gold Kate Spade stud earrings and my rose gold Vera Bradley Iconic Little Crossbody. I just recently found these fun earrings for only $12 at the Kate Spade outlet. This crossbody bag is easy to carry and is the perfect size for all the essentials.

Shop similar pieces and recreate this outfit below:

The colors of this look are so festive; it manages to combine comfy with chic, so you can lounge with your ladies and also be ready for some selfies. Plus, these pieces can be worn again and again. What's better than a cute outfit and a day with your BFFs? Hint:  NOTHING.

Wishing my blog's lady squad a very happy Galentine's Day!

Let's go girls,
