Wedding season dress inspiration

July 25, 2017

Wowza; is it wedding season or WHAT?!

The spring and summer months are obviously the most popular for weddings, but I've noticed many of my friends have weddings to attend in the next few weeks, including myself! I decided it was the perfect time for some wedding season dress inspo on the blog.

Today I'm featuring a look that takes a simple dress and snazzies it up with accessories. No need to wear the most glam dress you can find; opt for something simple that can be turned into a formal look with jewelry and the perfect shoes. Here's an idea:

This Sweetly Scalloped Dress from Tobi is a simple, versatile piece I think every closet needs. You already know the FF is a scallop SUCKER, and I chose this dress in a pretty lilac shade that could work for both spring and summer. Since this is a plain, shift dress style, it's easy to pair with accessories. (P.S. I'm wearing a size large for a looser fit!)

I picked out this Apt. 9 from Kohl's necklace on clearance a year ago, but the colors in the beads really pop against the shade of the dress. I also always wear a crystal bracelet to any formal event, so I picked this Givenchy piece for this look. (A $12 resale find!! Still one of my BEST!)

For shoes, I recently found these Jones New York grey lace-up block heel sandals at Marshalls for $24 on clearance. They are EXTRA comfy and the perfect neutral color to pair with anything. You obviously want a comfortable pair of shoes for a wedding so you can dance the night away! (Hint: Lots of stores, like Marshalls, have marked down their sandals on clearance! You can find on-trend styles at a low price ATM!)

This dress may be simple, besides the adorable edging, but never underestimate the simplicity of a piece. This makes the PERFECT wedding guest dress when paired with the right accessories. I always think, the more simple the piece, the more ways it can be worn!

WWYW? (What will you wear?)
