A whimsy Valentine's ensemble

February 13, 2017

After ringing in the new year, the holiday to get all festive about is, of course, Valentine's Day.

I know there's a fair share of V-Day haters and lovers out there, but whether you're single like a Pringle, rocking that married life or changing your Facebook status to "in a relationship," you can enjoy the day no matter what by picking out a fun outfit.

And trust me friends, the perfect look will make you feel way better than a dozen roses. (Except for that box of chocolates, because you can't really top that.)

Every Valentine's Day, I love to get a little whimsical with my outfits by mixing up patterns, bright colors and fun accessories. As you may already know, I'm all about the color PINK. But since I've been wearing pink every year, I decided to mix it up and go with a bold red, paired with stripes and a few other fun baubles. Check it out:

Sweater: Gap | Skirt: Old Navy | Boots: Journee Collection from Target | Pins: Rifle Paper Co. | Necklace: Vintage | Bag: Vintage
This red Gap sweater is one of my all time favorite Goodwill finds. It's so chunky and cozy with the perfect pop of color on a boring winter day. The black and white striped pencil skirt is from Old Navy and I picked it up this past weekend, so it is still available in stores and online to purchase. You may recognize the boots from my Goodwill shoe haul post, and they are also still available online at Target. My bag and necklace are two of my very favorite vintage finds from antique stores. And can we PLEASE talk about these adorable Rifle Paper Co. buttons you can get FREE right now with any purchase?! The best Valentine's accessory:

The mix of bright red, stripes and these adorable little buttons make for a whimsy outfit that will be unforgettable this Valentine's Day. It's time to have some fun!

What whimsical pieces are you bringing to the table?

With lots of love, sweet love,
