It's officially TURKEY DAY- which is the perfect time to break down the things I am thankful for as a blogging fashionista. Let's have some fun!
1 | Graphic tees
2 | Puffball key chains
Alright, you know what I'm talking about. The faux fur key chain balls that come in a zillion different colors? I clip one of those on the purse I am carrying and feel like a DIVA. It's an easy way to class up any handbag. These fun accessories are fierce, and SO ARE YOU.
3 | Ankle dress pants
This probably seems a little weird because what kind of human is thankful for dress pants, or in that case, any pants at all? Let me explain. My new job has a business casual dress code, which means I'm wearing dress pants a lot. I hate when dress pants are too tight, too baggy or have too much of a boot cut. It's very difficult for me to find a pair that actually works with my body shape. That being said, ankle dress pants are winners for me! They fit my waist and the hem hits perfectly at my ankle, giving me a lot more opportunities in the shoe department!
4 | A bag that works with me
Does anyone else feel #blessed when they find a purse that is just the absolute best? Not only is the bag cute, but it compliments the lifestyle. The belongings fit inside like a glove, and carrying it just makes you feel powerful. It's tough to find a purse like that, but when it happens, it's TRUE LOVE.
5 | My favorite stores
It's no secret that I love to shop, and going into my favorite stores always relaxes my mind and helps me destress. My two favorite spots to browse currently are Target (of course!) and Marshalls. I can always find a good deal on something fashionable or fun that makes my day a little brighter.
Okay, okay... I'm not only thankful for style-related things! This was just for fun. But now it's time to talk about the real things:
1 | The people in my life
I adore the ones making my life special- my family, Adam, all of my wonderful friends. They keep me smiling, laughing and staying afloat when things get rough. Thankful doesn't even begin to cut it; my people are my whole world.
2 | My job
I am very thankful for my career. I was lucky enough to start my big girl job straight out of college. Is it my dream job? Maybe not. But my current dream is to pay off my college loans and enjoy my 20s, therefore this job is making my dreams come true, and for that, I am grateful.
3 | The things that make me happy
There are so many little things that make me happy, and too often I don't think about how thankful I am for those things. A night goofing around with my parents. Sharing a meal with Adam. Treating myself to a pedicure. Snuggling up under a blanket. A warm plate of chicken and waffles. It's important to be grateful for the little things, too.
4 | DONUTS
Donuts are my favorite food group and make me the happiest fish in the sea. Which means I am very, very thankful for these golden, frosted treats. (Maple-bacon ones make me ten times more thankful, just as an FYI.)
5 | My readers
Finally, I am so grateful for all of you! My readers make writing worth it and allow me to be inspired and keep providing advice. Thank you for sticking with me through the years- it's been so much fun!
I hope you take the time to think of the fun fashionable things, and the real things that you are grateful for this Thanksgiving. What better time to reflect than right now?
Gobble till you wobble,
