Last minute Thanksgiving outfit inspiration

November 25, 2015

Hey there, fashionable followers!

Alright, I am just as ready as the rest of you to relax, pig out and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (a tradition in my house) tomorrow.

BUT, before the turkey hits the table and you eat every last bit of Grandma's famous pumpkin pie, picking out the perfect holiday outfit is a MUST.

I put together six different looks on my Polyvore account to inspire you to put together an outfit of your own, no matter how you have to dress to gobble down.

Two looks are for a very comfy Thanksgiving, two looks are a bit more dressed up, but still casual, and the last two looks are for a more dressy occasion.

Whether you plan to lounge around on the couch all day or if you are going out somewhere special, I'm sure these looks will help you pick something out of the closet that is appropriate for the festivities.

Casual & Comfy

The first casual look I put together incorporates soft pieces and fun patterns. I paired a simple graphic tee with maroon leggings and a plaid poncho. A simple necklace, fuzzy boots and matching nail polish complete this casual combo.

The second casual look includes soft joggers and a festive sweatshirt. I love hanging around the house in an oversized sweatshirt, and this one fits the holiday perfectly. Lined moccasins make the perfect house slipper. And, how cute is this pumpkin pie phone case? YUM.

Fashionable & Casual

This outfit is perfect if you have to go somewhere other than the comfort of your own home for Thanksgiving, but you still don't have to wear a super dressy outfit. These burnt orange colored jeans scream November, and I love how they look with this cream turtleneck sweater. The accessories complete this outfit with trendy black booties, a fun fox clutch, a watch and a black boho hat.

I would wear this outfit in a heartbeat! I love the boyfriend jeans with a soft tee and this cardigan with mixed materials. A matching plaid bag, stylish smoking loafers and a simple bracelet are the cherries on top of this casual look that is full of fashion statements.

Dressy and Fashionable

If you have to dress up for Thanksgiving, these next two outfits are exactly the inspiration you need. As I have mentioned before, I am the color burgundy's number one fan, so I am really digging this look. The floral printed shift dress is so classy, but pairing it with a cozy cream sweater and tights tie it all in to the season. Simple jewelry and a matching bag, as well as these pointed toe flats keep the outfit looking very trendy.

This final dressy look incorporates awesome fall colors and trends. The suede fringe skirt steals the show as a TOP trend this fall. Pairing it with a simple sweater and a plaid blanket scarf allows for more fall fun without taking away from the show stopping bottom. Simple earrings and ankle boots pair well too, and a rich leather bag is exactly what you need to complete this outfit.

Although you obviously cannot run out and buy outfits just like these RIGHT NOW, my hope is that these designs I created can be templates to your own ideas! Leave some comments and fill me in on your perfect Thanksgiving day outfits- I can't wait to hear all about them!

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a tradition in my house too!
I love all these looks you put together on Polyvore! It was almost hard to pick a favorite but I seriously love the second Casual & Comfy option. That "Get Stuffed" sweatshirt is so cute!

    1. I love the parade! The sweatshirt is so funny and perfect for lounging around and stuffing your face ;)
