I've been BLESSED! December Bless Box review

January 12, 2017

Hello, fabulous readers. Happy New Year!

My first post of 2017 is dedicated to the Bless Box. If you've kept up with me for a while, you probably figured out that Sazan Hendrix is one of my all time favorite bloggers. This woman is FIERCE and one heck of a GIRL BOSS.

Sazan is the founder of the Bless Box- a monthly subscription box filled with beauty/fashion/home/etc. products that she has used and picked out for all of her subscribers. When Saz announced the Bless Box, I knew I had to sign up!

*FUN FACT*
I first  heard about Sazan at the Simply Stylist Conference in Chicago. She was the only blogger on the panel I'd never heard of, but she quickly became my favorite. Her personality is MAJOR blogger goals.

Wanna get hooked like I did? Check out her blog, YouTube, and Instagram.

Without any further delay, let's chat about the goodies that arrived in the December (and very first!) Bless Box!

First, what I love is the fun guide included in the box. It lists each product and Sazan writes her opinion about the items and includes fun tips for each one. I think this is so AWESOME!

Here's what's inside:

Aveda products: Smooth Infusion Shampoo, Conditioner and Style-prep Smoother; Stress Fix Body Cream

I've heard nothing but great things about Aveda products. These little bottles are perfect for traveling, and I plan to use them on my next trip in February.

Maybelline Inti-Matte Lipstick in Brown Blush

This LIPSTICK. It applies so smoothly. Although it's a matte lip color, it doesn't make your lips looks dry at all; it makes them look more velvety. And this color is GORG! I love the color Sazan picked because it truly is a shade anyone can pull off. It's a darker nude, giving it a bold factor, but it's still very neutral for any skin tone. I can't wait to check out the rest of the new Maybelline Inti-Matte Nudes collection!

Kalos After Hours Soothing Night Cream

I only just recently started trying this out, but I've already noticed my skin is looking less dry and more healthy. My face dries out like crazy this time of year, so I received this product at the perfect time.

DW Home Vanilla Bean Candle

DW Home candles just so happen to my favorite! I find them at Marshalls all of the time. They smell heavenly and come in really clean smells. I was so excited to find this Vanilla Bean one in the Bless Box because I don't have it and the scent is YUMMY! Instead of smelling like a vanilla cupcake, like most vanilla candles, I personally think it smells more like the kitchen during Christmas when you're baking cookies. MEMORIES.

Vici Collection Pom Beanie

Beanies are a MUST during the winter here in Chicago; obviously for the warmth factor, but also for the style factor! I love that I can wear this hat casually with jeans and a graphic tee, or if I'm running some errands in the cold weather. I received the light blue color, which is so unique!

NibMor Drinking Chocolate

Well, I guess you can't like everything, and this was the item I wasn't a fan of in the Bless Box. Two packets of NibMor drinking chocolate were in the box: a regular chocolate flavor and a 6 spice flavor. I think I'm just so used to the classic Swiss Miss that these were too strong for me. It did taste like drinking liquid chocolate, but I prefer the sugary taste! I won't be trying the 6 spice flavor because I am not a spicy girl!

Bless Ceramic Mug & Spoon

This was an exclusive for the first Bless Box. Isn't it adorable?! I've always wanted a cute mug with the little spoon in the handle. I'll be using it for lots of hot chocolate this winter season...my FAVORITE!

Bless Box Envelope

This envelope was also inside full of different coupons, which is an awesome little bonus. It gives me a chance to check out some new things.

My favorite things about the Bless Box are:

1 | It's a variety

As you can see in the December box, there's a little bit of everything; Beauty, fashion, home and food products. I like having a variety instead of a subscription box being solely dedicated to one thing. I can try out the beauty products, but if they're not for me, at least I still have a cute hat to wear and a yummy-smelling candle to light.

2 | It's a treat

I love that every month it's a treat to myself. Something I can look forward to opening when I get home from a long day at work. Since the contents are always a surprise, it's so exciting to have it finally arrive.

3 | It's affordable

A monthly subscription is only $29.99. All of the items inside totaled together far exceed this price, and you're even getting full size products. I was expecting it to cost more when it was first announced, so I was very happy with this price.

Want to sign up for your subscription? You can do it here.

I can't wait to share all of my monthly Bless Box surprises this year! Stay tuned.

Hugs,
