A week-long outfit roundup

October 20, 2015

Hello, trendsetters!

Today, I am giving you a recap on my outfits from last week. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my #OOTD posts. Let's talk about those looks in a little more detail..

MONDAY

Last Monday, the weather was starting to cool off, but was still warm with the sun. I did not want to overheat at school, but I still wanted to dress appropriately for the fall season.

I paired a tribal print maxi dress with a denim button up and sandals. The dress is from Target, but I found it for $5 at Goodwill. The shirt is New York and Company- an $8 resale find. My sandals are a $10 steal from Walmart.

Although the sandals helped me not get too hot, the dark colors and the denim button up keep this outfit fall-worthy.

GRAND TOTAL: $23

TUESDAY

On Tuesday, the weather did cool down, so I knew I would need long pants and a cardigan.

I paired my Levi jeans with this brightly patterned tank from Target that I found for $1.50 at Goodwill. The color of my Gap cardigan (an $8 resale bargain) matched the top to a T. These adorable brown flats are Report shoes, and I found them at Goodwill for $4.

My Levi's jeans are the most expensive item here- $30. But I can say that they are so comfortable and cute, and worth every penny.

GRAND TOTAL: $43.50

WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday, I felt like dressing a little business professional. For no particular reason, I just felt like wearing ankle dress pants.

This deep green pair of ankle pants from Target ($4 Goodwill find) looked great with this black lace patterned Ann Taylor top that I found for a $9 resale. The cream and black Dexter flats ($4) matched the colors in the shirt.

This outfit was so fun and put together. The dark green color will be one of my favorites carrying into the winter.

GRAND TOTAL: $17

THURSDAY

On Thursday, I was so tired that I told myself I wouldn't plan an outfit that was very special. I kind of threw this one together, but it ended up being one of my favorites for the week.

I am wearing the Levi jeans again, but this time I matched them up with this lacy Ann Taylor LOFT tee ($3), a cozy Banana Republic Sweater ($1) and lace up Sam Edelman ankle boots ($4).

I love the different shades of brown in this look. It's festive for fall and the neutral shades make it very cozy.

GRAND TOTAL: $38

FRIDAY

On Friday, my mom, Adam and I went to the pumpkin patch. I made sure to dress cozy and warm.

I paired black JCP leggings ($9) with an over sized H&M sweatshirt ($4 from Goodwill) and a Sonoma from Kohl's vest ($5). I added on my Esprit duck boots ($30) and my new favorite Spartina 449 bag that my BFF Jade sold to me for $15!

This outfit was definitely pumpkin pickin' approved.

GRAND TOTAL: $63

SATURDAY

I usually dress like a bum on Saturday's and Sunday's to unwind, but this Saturday, I was busy helping my mom at her store.

I grabbed my Levi jeans again for comfort and paired them with this tribal poncho from Forever 21 ($14). My Clarks moccasins ($12) completed the southwestern look.

I also put my hair up in the cutest messy top knot with my poncho. I learned this hairstyle from Sazan Hendrix's tutorial video on YouTube, which you can check out here. I just know you'll love this do'.

GRAND TOTAL: $56

I had a lot of fun planning last week's outfits. It was a nice change to really start enjoying some of my fall fashions here in Illinois.

My favorite look from last week would be Thursday's combination. I really loved the neutral colors and the cozy sweater with boots. I would definitely wear it again!

*****
Along with fall fashions, I've also been enjoying some fall treats.

At the pumpkin patch, I tried out pumpkin bread pudding. It was warm and gooey, with the perfect amount of cinnamon and pumpkin flavor.

I am a total sucker for anything Halloween when it comes to food during October, too. I spotted this adorable orange and black witch sugar cookie at the cafe on my college campus and had to get one. Along with a white chocolate mocha iced coffee, of course.

I've felt so positive and inspired this fall; even more than usual. I'm loving the weather, the fashions and all the yummy food.

I will be trying out a new recipe this weekend: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies for a get together with my BFF's. I will report back with feedback on those, so maybe you will have a fun fall treat to try.

If you are not feeling the awesome fall vibes yet, I encourage you to get out there and take part in the season! Pick out a pumpkin, go costume shopping or simply grab a pumpkin flavored coffee. I promise, this October will not disappoint!

And don't forget to keep following along with "31 Days of Deals" on my Instagram. Only 11 days left to share my great deals and steals! Use the hashtag #31DOD.

Happy fall, y'all.
