Holly Jolly Holiday Attire

12/23/2014

Bonjour, my favorite fashionable friends! How I've missed you!

It has most definitely been a while. A few months ago, my blog celebrated being on the web for one whole year. I am so excited and grateful to my readers and followers! With you by my side, The Fashionable Fox will be celebrating many more years in the future.

Promotion and branching out of The Fashionable Fox has been huge this year. For the past five months, I've had my own column in my school newspaper. I've been offering style advice to college students. It is an amazing accomplishment to take my advice from the blog to a printed publication.

With everything being so hectic with school ending and the holidays approaching, I came up with a great idea to still provide style advice for the holiday season; but provide it in a quick and fun way!

Below is a short video I created to welcome you back, explain what I've been up to and show you what I plan to wear this Christmas:

Here are the designs I created on Polyvore to help you get inspired and figure out a perfect outfit for any occasion or event you may be attending or hosting:

Here's a very fancy, mermaid sort of look. I combined a black lace crop top with a white sequin midi skirt. I think this look is so classy and perfect for a huge holiday party, or even a new year's event. This outfit will look great with black heels, a red clutch, a chunky pearl necklace and some red lipstick.

This outfit is really fun, and somewhat similar to what I plan to wear. A gold sequin crop top with a red velvet skirt and patterned tights is so festive. I love the collar necklace, and the patent black flats dress the outfit up even more.

This look is perfect for a family party. It's a comfortable outfit, yet still holds the holiday spirit. I love the over sized reindeer sweater. The plaid infinity scarf is so trendy, and it matches the green duck boots. The red Kate Spade earrings match the reindeer's nose, which I adore.

I think this look is perfect for a hostess of a holiday gathering. It's not overly fancy, but dressy enough to show off that you are the "hostess with the mostess" and can put on a great party. (and outfit!) The deep maroon dress is so simple, but the white blazer with sequin edging spices it up a lot! I'm also in love with the Kate Spade bow earrings.

This is the perfect get-up for any trendsetter that has to travel for the holidays. Whether you are remaining  in the country or making a major trip, this outfit is stylish for a plane ride, yet comfortable and warm. I love the red flannel with the boyfriend jeans and ankle boots. The green necklace is a great touch, and the coat and hat is a necessity when traveling some place cold. The Michael Kors bag will hold anything you need for a long trip.

I am in love with this ensemble. It is perfect for any occasion where you want to dress up a little bit. The green sequin pants are so festive, and I love the way the peplum top compliments them. The earrings match the pants to a T, and the Ho, ho, ho clutch is the perfect touch.

This is another great outfit to be comfortable, yet stylish. I also love the colors. The grey jeans with the grey sweater is repetitive, yet complimenting. The pattern in the sweater makes it still very festive. I love the fun furry booties, and the black leather tote is perfect for stashing gifts for friends.

This last look incorporates neutral tones for a simple and stylish outfit. Leather pants are very popular right now, and the nude colored lace top gives the edgy bottoms a more sweet approach. I love the matching makeup and accessories that pull this outfit together.

If you love the looks I've put together for this post, be sure to follow me on Polyvore. My account name is thefashfoxx. Don't forget to leave comments and feedback on this post. I would love to hear which style is your favorite! Also- have you followed The Fashionable Fox on Instagram yet? Be sure to check it out! At @thefashfoxx .

Here's another look at my holiday outfit this year. The maroon skater dress is s.o.r.a.d. from Kohl's. With a coupon, I found it for $20. The sequin coverup is Rain, and I found it for $8 at a resale store! I plan to wear black tights from Old Navy, black flats and simple gold jewelry.

I hope that these different styles gave you some inspiration for planning a great holiday outfit. Whether you are attending a fancy event, hosting a party or lounging with your family, one of these ideas is sure to get your fashion senses churning.

I hope that you feel beautiful in whatever you are wearing this holiday, because you are. Enjoy these days and be grateful for another holiday season to spend however you wish.

Until next year-
The FF
